Voting now open for the 2020 Scottish Bar and Pub Awards
We are living through extraordinary times but there is one thing for sure – we will come out of it, and when we do we will be celebrating all that is good and great about the Scottish hospitality industry at the 2020 Scottish Bar and Pub Awards.
In the meantime we would like you to start nominating your favourite pubs and the people that run them or even give yourself a much-deserved pat on the back. Tell us why you think your favourite pub is the best in the individual categories.
Not only will this year’s ceremony, our 25th anniversary, be one hell of a party, but it will also give the trade the PR shot in the arm it will badly need after such a lengthy hiatus. It was scheduled for 25th August at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel but this date may be subject to change and we’ll keep you posted on this.
All the winning bars and pubs from every category will be put forward for the Sunday Mail Pub of the Year accolade. You can either use the form on the site to nominate or you can send us a wee video nomination – it’s up to you. Feel free to be as creative and as detailed as you like.
This year we have some brand new award including the Deanston Single Malt Whisky Whisky Guru of the Year category
Our other sponsors include: Antos, The Balvenie, BII, Brockmans, Buzzworks, Carling, Cellar Trends, Distell, Finest Call, Hendrick’s Gin, Gordon & MacPhail, Inverarity Morton, Kopparberg, Luxardo, Molson Coors, Monkey Shoulder, Montpeliers, Wm Grant & Sons brands include Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky and the Sunday Mail of course.
The definitive list of categories and sponsors will be revealed in the coming months, so keep checking the website for updates.
If you fancy going on the Wm Grant & Sons Apprentice programme send us a wee video and tell us why you think your employer should put you forward – whether you are currently working, on furlough or waiting for your next role.
